I graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. After graduation，I worked in Guangdong TV station and also for American Mead Johnson Co. I am an English teacher in China, with a Teachers Qualification Certificate (China), I've been teaching kids English for five years. Graduated from Wuzhou University, my main subject was International Trading English. I have a background in the export business for more than 10 years.

As an experienced teacher, I am keeping a sense of understanding my students well. By studying my students' pronunciation, mistakes on grammar, or other learning behaviors, I could deduce what problems my students might face, thus helping you to improve your Chinese.

I would include different teaching methods in my class. From students point of view, you would see me showing props, or a short movie, you would see a grammar structure being written on a white board, you would see me replacing flash cards to lead you to say Chinese sentences.

Base on your current level, period time of learning, and your main goal on language skills (some would specially focus on speaking), I could make customized learning program for you, that would include full details including how much time we are spending on sentence structure, vocabulary, listening and speaking. Every time after class, you would receive some materials, showing key points we have covered, along with some homework, so you could consolidate and get ready for a new lesson.

Hi! My name is Tina. I grew up in China in Guangzhou. I also lived in Hong Kong and South Korea, but now I live in Taiwan. I graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. My major was international business. I have three years of teaching experience, mainly about tutoring foreign students Chinese, and children English from six to eleven years old.

During the teaching session,I plan and prepare my own teaching materials and use props (such as cards, songs, games, videos, etc.) to engage students in learning (this is especially useful for children). I also design each student’s study plans and learning outcomes. By observing each student's situation, I provide solutions tailored to each student’s problems. In class, I like to discuss the culture and history of my country, and I also encourage students to talk about their own country. It is my teaching philosophy to have a relaxed and light-hearted classroom experience.

After class, I will give students homework and tests to evaluate their progress. I will give feedback to help and encourage students to make more progress. If needed, I can tutor students to take the HSK exam from level 1 to level 6.

When I was at the university, I have studied general economics, as well as management classes including business management, marketing, financial management, so if you want to learn business Mandarin, I have a good theoretical background with business topics. I can also speak and understand some Korean since I lived in Korea for some time.

I use our trial lesson to get to know each other. Meanwhile, I also discuss about the learning targets and the method we will use. Before the trial lesson, you are welcomed to send me a message about what you’ve known and what you want to learn if you wish. If you prefer your own material, please send it to me and I can teach accordingly. If you’d like me to prepare materials, I can design a tailored made lesson and modify it accordingly. For adults, I use HSK most of the time. For children, I have used different text books from their schools. I put effort to prepare my lesson plan and adapt it to student’s learning progress on the way. During the lessons, I explain the teaching plan and how we can achieve it with mutual effort. I give a lot of chances to students and encourage them to use the language in speaking and sometimes writing if they’d like to have some homework.

- 1 year in an expatriate agency to assist visa for foreigners in China. Meanwhile, I helped to match foreign teachers to language schools accordingly.
- 2.5 years I worked in an international preschool as customer service role to build good relationships with parents. Meanwhile, I managed a team of 20 teachers/caretakers for a period of time.
-2 years I worked in an AML project for a HK bank in an audit firm in Guangzhou.
-2.5 years I worked as a shadow teacher for a primary student studying in a British curriculum based school in China.
-Currently I am working in a learning support (SEN) department in an international school.
 
In the lessons, I can use photo stories, whiteboard, flashcard etc. Each lesson, you will have a file document of what we’ve learned.
